AER Control Systems is On the Move

NEW HAVEN, CT; FEB. 2006 — AER Control Systems is gearing up for what they anticipate to be the company's busiest year since opening their doors in 2001. As they begin their fifth year in business, AER is currently New England’s largest manufacturer of air filtration equipment with representation constantly expanding across the globe. All of their products and components are made 100% in the United States.

AER has recently moved into a new 70,000 plus sq. ft facility in New Haven Connecticut that will also house a metal fabrication shop and metal finishing company. “This move is essential due to our company’s continued growth, and by having everything all under one roof, our productivity and overall efficiency will only improve,” AER President John Dixon stated.

As 2006 begins, AER aims to match or surpass a 20-30% growth they have achieved in each of the last three years. While they continue to grow and put out quality products, customer service has always come first. “When different companies have a similar product and comparable prices, customer service is what consumers will remember, ” Dixon observed.

AER Control Systems customer service is one reason why their competitors’ representatives have jumped ship to join AER. When AER first started back in 2001, they had fewer than 10 representatives selling their product. Today they have more than 50. AER recently added new representation in Michigan, Texas, California and Mexico and now that AER has moved into a more spacious facility, they plan on increasing their workforce by 10 to 20%.

With AER Control Systems main competitors being located overseas and in places such as Minnesota, Kentucky and Texas, AER is trying to become the number one choice for New England manufacturers. President and Owner John Dixon started AER Control Systems in 2001 when the Aercology plant he was running at the time was closed by Donaldson/ Torit.

When asked if he was happy about where his company is headed, Dixon replied, “I am very pleased with our progress. We started in 2001 right after 9/11, which was not the ideal time to start any business, never mind a manufacturing one. We survived through a tough time and now we continue to grow, continue to gain support and continue to get our name out there. We are definitely moving in the right direction.”
