New Portable Cartridge Collector for All Applications

NEW HAVEN, CT; SEPT. 2006 — AER Control Systems is having tremendous success with their new Dust Collector unit, the Small Portable Cartridge Collector (SPC). The SPC is designed to be a cost effective, highly efficient (greatly exceeds OSHA standards) alternative approach to capturing and filtering dust, welding fumes and other light to moderate concentrations of dry contaminants.

Since being introduced at the beginning of the year, the SPC has been used in a variety of applications such as grinding, sanding, polishing, polishing, welding and in clean rooms for laser machines. Because of the low cost, versatility and outstanding performance (HEPA-like efficiency standard), the SPC is quickly becoming AER Control Systems' fastest growing product.

Due to the success and versatility of the SPC collectors, AER Control Systems has quickly adapted to the demand and has successfully provided customers with different capturing options and air flow ratings. Customers will be able to chose from 1000 & 1500 CFM units. They also have the option of using standard heavy-duty extraction arms that come in all sizes, or using the collector as a portable down-draft bench.

The SPC's arms easily swing and bend to the desired pickup location for applications such as welding fumes. The table-top option offered with the SPC is a downdraft bench mounted directly onto the collector for applications like grinding, polishing and sanding. This portable collector can roll from one station to the next by just using the standard quick connect airline.

AER Control Systems is also now in production of the latest SPC unit, dubbed the "Universal" cartridge collector. This unit has been designed to be an all-in-one collector. Customers will be able to use the one collector on many applications by just quickly changing the pickup accessories that will come with the unit. The new unit will be ideal for people doing many applications on the same material and who want to reduce cost while still maintaining the air quality in their facility.
